Michael Cera is always the straight man in comedy, playing it coy and somewhat reserved, adding little awkward comments.

Get Paul Verhoeven to direct. It'll definitely lend a unique direction if SR ever gets turned into a movie.

I would probably be superunhappy with a live-action Serenity Rose....stop motion or animation I'd be all about. But nobody looks enough like a mupput to portray Serenity correctly =P

Oh, and for the record, Arrested Development is the only live-action show I can watch. And Juno did rule all over the place.

Tim Burton is cool and all, but Will Vinton would be perfect for the S.R.S.M.M.

Bushido: Oddly enough, Coraline is being made by the old Will Vinton studio. So -bizarre as it sounds- the ol' California Raisin factory might actually be able to nail the Serenity look perfectly.

But yeah, I agree with you that Tim Burton probably wouldn't touch this. It's just too similar-feeling to other stuff he's done. But who knows? It sure would be cool.

I'm not sure about Christopher Nolan, either... I love his movies, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of humor in them, y'know? Things get kind of dark in Serenity Rose sometimes, but there's always a certain goofiness to it all.

I personally wasn't a huge fan of Juno, but I think I understand its popularity- it's sort of weird, like the last turn in Jenga- if the movie had been missing one actor, one writing component, anywhere, I think it probably woulda stunk.

The trouble with live action, Shannon, is that it suffers from the cardinal sin of movie making: Too much C.G.I.

If the S.R.L.A.M. is to work, the talents of Stan Winston would be required.

But if the S.R.S.M.M. (Serentity Rose Stop-Motion Movie) were to occur, the talents of Will Vinton would be interesting. OK, maybe not Will Vinton.

As long as Tim Burton is not invovled, the movie will be a success. (Sorry, kiddos. But I don't see the guy who created The Corpse Bride doing this movie. But I don't see Michael Bay doing this film either if that make you feel better.)

Ah, I've been meaning to see Juno for quite some time! I've heard good reviews from a lot of people, my English teacher included. I should sit down and watch it. Since I, you know, tend not to watch movies often, or just comment through the whole thing--but not in theater, of course.

Though on whether or not I'd like to see Sera as live action or as stop-motion, I think stop-motion would more fit the style of the series, but live action may work--with a lot of editing, of course. :P

Bushido: Oh yeah! I forgot she was Kitty Pryde. She looks even more Serenity-like in that one. I don't think Vinnie Jones has the machismo to play Tess, though.

Evil: Yep, I've always pictured a Serenity movie being stop-motion. Something about the textures and slightly jerky movement just creates the perfect mood.

Candy: I've only seen one episode of Arrested Development, but I don't remember much about it. Everyone I know is in love with that show, though, so I should give it another try sometime. Superbad doesn't seem like my kind of thing at all (Oh boy, teenagers sure do like boobs and beer, don't they! Ha! But of course they have often have great difficulty procuring either.), but I did like The 40-Year-Old Virgin, so I'll probably Netflix this one, too.

Have you seen Juno yet, Candy? Michael Cera really is funny in this. Him and his creepy little shorts.

Personally, I rather dislike anything Michael Cera has been in so far. I just hope Scott Pilgrim changes that.

But, to each their own, I guess...(I mean, everybody on the planet that's seen it except me seems to like Arrested Development).
