Man, I can't wait to see The Orphanage. It's been taunting me with a "Very Long Wait" on the Netflix queue for a while now, though.

Guillermo didn't direct that one, though, despite what the poster seems to suggest. He was just a producer. It's sort of like when they plastered Quentin Tarantino's name all over those Hostel movies. Or how J.J. Abrams is the only guy anyone ever talked to about Cloverfield. Or how Judd Apatow gets all the credit for every comedy to be released in the past two years. Or... jeez, there's a lot of these, aren't there?

not looking forward to the hobbit for the reason that the lord of the rings films made me cringe so bad i couldn't make myself enjoy them, i'm pretty sure that GDT will avoid the awkward mistakes though

i want hellboy II out sooner!!! it was one of those rare wonderful films that felt some remarkably relatable (too the characters)

time for some mindless fan worship (theres always time too spread the love) for serenity too. purely because it's everything i like

don't hate me, i'm just expressing oppinions

Hm, I don't think I've actually seen any of Del Toro's movies...I -would- have seen Pan's Labyrinth, but a friend of mine told me it was uber-violent, and I'm uber-squeamish (isn't it comforting to know that there's always a more humongous weenie than yourself out there?).

I'm looking forward to The Hobbit, though! I'm all about the high fantasy.

Peter jackson needs to be on his own. seriously, the man looks like a hobo, not that that has anything to do with anything.

Del Torro needs to keep his own identity. Now, if he directed eragon, that would have just been great.

did i just say that? nah

I can agree totally. I first heard about Del Toro directing the Hobbit about a week and a half ago and just kind of felt sad for a few moments. But then, I started thinking about it. And I loved the Hobbit, but found myself unable to read the actual LotR series. I tried, really really hard, but it took be about a month to read Fellowship, which is disgustingly slow for me, and I just gave up after that. The Hobbit has such a great story and wonderful characters, and I really think Del Toro can bring them to life in a great way. Here's hoping, at least.
