If one were to go into Crystal Skulls blindfolded (but, like, take the thing off after the opening credits), I think most people could tell that George "Flannel Shirt" Lucas had some part in it; There are few directors who can/will put aliens, Mayans, and flaming eye sockets into a single scene.

Also, I'd have to agree with Relenz; grunts (sans nametag, of course) with some variety makes the whole thing a *little* better. For instance, look at X-Wing Pilot #2 from Return of the Jedi. Who could forget his thought-provoking words as the Death Star began to erupt in a nova of light; "SHE'S GONNA BLOW!!".

In conclusion, the fact that there is a banner ad for Shin Chan on your Web-Site™ makes me ponder about what you may be plotting against humanity.

Bushido Hacks, skrapyard, you may be pleasantly surprised. Although there are a couple of moments of nonsequitur Lucas-style CGI, Crystal Skull delivers on a metric ton of old school prop skull goodness. The only thing that really bugged me was the tarzan scene with Mr. Lebouf. In terms of villains, I have to disagree with Mr. A- I found the older films better, not because the main villain characters were better or worse, but because the cannon fodder in this film was so homogenous, when compared with the rainbow of Wilhelm scream material in the previous films. Anyone else remember Crazy Tank Turret Guy #2 from crusade. What a great guy. By contrast, with the exception of the muscular colonel fellow, the Russians were uniformed nonentities with machineguns.

Correction:
g. Non-CGI effects are being used. Infact, I don’t care how flash CGI is, there is no fun making horror props (even though Indy is Action/Adventure) WITHOUT tangeble objects and real special effects!

I still won't be convinced to see this movie unless I know if someone is
a. Disintegrating into a pile of ash
b. Melting or exploding (via spontaneous combustion)
c. Having body parts removed with bare hands then having separate pieces catch fire
d. Monkey brains will be served
e. Snakes are present
f. Props from a historic era are being used (i.e. Newsreels, propaganda, etc.)
g. Non-CGI effects are being used. Infact, I don't care how flash CGI is, there is no fun making horror props (even though Indy is Action/Adventure) with tangeble objects and real special effects!

I wish I could tell him "F*** you, Steven Spielberg! You're old work was much better."
No one would think Jaws was believable if the shark was CGI.
