IM FIRST AGAIN AWESOME!!! Hhahaha I love Sera’s reaction!!! oh what does the sheriff want now???

      I’ll be here next week!

    • Shannon M. Says:

I love Zoe’s dialog in the last panel so much. XD Not to mention I like her clothes for some reason. And tired-Sera is cute.

      And hello, Sheriff! :D

    • Mr: Stiggz Says:

Oh man I love the paneling quite a bit!

I find it hard to believe you could get so much good stuff done in such a small time frame.

I wonder how many reams paper you go through a month?

i really want to send out a kudos to aaron. you seriously pour your soul into every inch of every corner of every page of your comics- so much soul delivered, i know you must not sleep much yourself. just gotta say, we see it, we know it, we appreciate it, we love it to sleep-deprived death.

    • Slinker Says:

Oh, Zoe! I’ve been somewhat intrested in what kind of relationship she and Sera has really. Being a step-mom is tough afterall. :)

    • Claire Says:

Jooji… you are not the only one (: Even beyond the issue of comments. I know this won’t be updated until next Wednesday, but, this is about the third time since last update that I’ve come by just to, like, check up on it. Hasn’t changed… I just like to visit. ^///^

But of course Mr A’s art is meant to be appreciated repeatedly, in depth. Savored. Fawned over. Seriously, there’s a lot here. That guy getting stabbed in the eye, for instance, or Zoe’s expression in the third panel, or how the headphone cord is tied up with the motion line is tied up with the sound effect in the second panel…. (I love the second panel.) This art never gets boring. I can reread volume 1 (for about the fifteenth time), or the two-page FCBD short that was my first encounter with Mr A and Ms Rose, and be captivated all over again by the vividness of the expressions, the beauty of the line, and the breathtaking effect of all that meticulous shading. Volume 2 is just the same, if anything more so.

I second joseph’s comment, really a lot. I consider it nothing less than a privilege to read your stuff, Mr A.

(and on that note of “sleep-deprived” and “fawning over”…..)

I finally found the “Fables” book with the Aaron A work in it yesterday and bought a copy. Hooray! (Question for Mr. Alexovich: Are there any more?)

    • alphatroll Says:

      (firstly, another “meetoo” for Jooji)

but I really need to mention how fascinating Zoe (and Maryanne) are as parts of Sera’s tale. we’ve got a young, semi-anti-social witch who’s lost her parents and is living with her *caring, well-intentioned, respectful, and all-around good* stepmom and her *really sweet and darned cute* stepsister. i just love to see things standing on their heads like that.

…and the friendly, easy-going, and mildly cynical (just enough to be sympathetic) local law representative is a nice touch on those lines too. I’m actually kinda surprised Zoe called her “the sherriff” instead of “Lois” (or at least “Sherriff Lois”).

…speaking of whom, here’s hoping the news she brings isn’t *too* disastrous…!

    • alphatroll Says:

hey… i just realized I forgot to read zoe’s dialogue in an English accent… it comes across better that way, just a bit droll and dry and understated. is there a meta-tag-thingie for that?

    • Jooji Says:

Thnks for replying to my post. I just love the detail I wanna be able to do something like that, that is why I come and see this at least once a day… Now we are all waiting for page 35 I’ll be here like the slave that I am to your work A.A.

      Cheers!

    • Dragon Says:

I agree with alot of those coments. (Though I read only a few) That’s what makes an artist’s work great, right? Heart and soul into every nook and cranny. Anywho, I just wanted to say that I noticed the bomb going off on the tv. Or comit… I just thought it was funny cuz I never noticed it before..
