      Okay, this is awesome. You’ve got to do a spin-off about Atlan’s wacky Jet Age adventures sometime. Just full-on pulp style.

    • Claire Says:

      Atlan = awesome. Atlan’s shirtsleeves = TEH AWESOMEZOR. y/y?

      Agree with Eddy’s Jet Age adventure comment, though it prolly goes without saying I am hugely in favor of any new original Alexovich project, Crestwood-’verse particularly.

      The last panel is really effective, tinging all the pulpy fantasticness with the bitter sepia of realism. Oh yeah … we are still in the good ole US, aren’t we.

      wow! that’s a lot of history/backstory/theirstory/whatever for one page!

      and just why *shouldn’t* there be 8-mile-deep lakes in the inconsolable wood? seems like an ideal place for them.

    • Paradox Says:

      Super-Radio Magnobelt = Pure win!

      I wish I had one of them. I’d be flying around and looking awesome all the time. XD

    • alphatroll Says:

      y’know, i prolly should have said this before… but if Goodbye Crestfallen doesn’t become some sort of critical breakthrough for Aaron, i’m pretty sure i’ll lose the last vestiges of my faith in humanity. we are looking at sequential-art history here. on second thought, drop that “sequential-” part. there’s just too much gorgeousity to accept any excuses.

    • AxMxK Says:

      Oh dude! Atlan was doing stuff in the thirties when he LOOKS to be in his thirties? And then he (still looking good) and this other ghost visit Serenity when she’s three??

      Sounds like witches can live a loooong time.

    • gillian Says:

      Atlan is always smiling, but i wonder why he does all this.
      i know its “ndoughtedly for humanity to see that witches are still good people and all”,but he never seems to hold back on any assignment they give him.
      i have a (fictional*) theory that the government has something of his, and they formed a deal or something, but i haven’t read the other books, so what do i know?

      * just so you know I’m not a TOTAL whack-job.
