      The SSI guys kind of remind me of various monsters in the BPRD comics. I’ve been trying to think of what they reminded me of and I finally did >_>

      Aaron- a question:
      Reguarding the use of onomonopea, and the sound which results from the action Sera is taking, do you mean for it to be in the effect of an explosion, or a quieter sort of nullifying sound? (the word doom for me reacts as less of a sound, and more of a feeling or tone, leaving some interpretation) From the way you’ve drawn the panel, i picture the sound as being to the effect of a mechanical VVWomp (like furnace sounds) that increases in volume as it, in effect, almost vaporizes (or extinguishes) the small ectoplasmic tesses, or even to the effect of hearing a record played backwords.
      Sorry if this is a weird question- i’d just like to know your intents and see if i read the page correctly in tandem with how you visualize it. It’s so rare that one has the opportunity to actually ask a comic creator what his or her direct intent was with reguards to storyline, tone, etc…

      I have no serious concerns for Sera’s life at this time, being as how she is the title character. However, I will not sleep properly until Tess shows up again alive and well. (WHICH SHE WILL RIGHT ALEXOVICH?)

      I am hoping that original Tess takes out Mini-Ecto-Tess on the next page. And that she is not promptly shot by a confused SSI agent on the page after that. (OH NO YOU DON’T ALEXOVICH.)

      Mr. Maniac: I think half the people who use that forum are from foreign lands… But anyway, we haven’t approved your account because, frankly, you have a tendency to get a little mean and start calling people names every now and then. We like to keep things nice and low-key on the forum. Sorry!

      Joseph: Oh man, I totally should’ve gone with “VWOMP!” But yeah, “DOOM” is supposed to literally be the sound. I like nice thuddy echoey sounds for the witchcraft. As if someone dropped a two-ton weight in an empty cathedral.

      Now the question is, who will save Sera? My bet is either A) Merrick’ll shoot it, or B) Kelton will do…sumthin’. For some reason Tess clambering off the roof after somhow regaining consciousness after being chucked there and coming to the rescue doesn’t seem very likely to me.

      But we shall see…*settles back to wait impatiently*

      on behalf of Luis Levi….

      I do think he’s honestly trying to get along, just not so skilled at it (like many of us) and with the language barrier just making it harder. I’m all for giving him his chance, we’re tolerant folks who’ll try to help by example & whatever advice we can think of. (Like maybe less Caps Lock?) :)

      Besides, if mr. Hair & I can get along (i think we do, right?) ;) , anything’s possible!

      p.s. echo the kudos for SFX, I read the “DOOM” as kind of a bwoomy-whump sound, like a sonic boom without the crack….. it “sounded” right to me!

      I agree with the DOOM sound effect. It’s so cool how the Tesslings look as they desenigrate, still bug eyed and blank faced. They don’t seem to realize that they’re dying. Really awesome.

      It gets on my nerves when people go “WHY!? Why kill off my favorite character!?” to one of my stories and I try to explain, “Well, it’s how it’s supposed to be.” I ask myself that every time I kill some one off. Usually, I cry afterwards if it affects me enough, or if I’m attached enough to the character. If one of your character dies, I won’t try to kill you. I’m interested to know what happens next!

      I also try not to cry when I eat cheese-cake. YUM!

      I gave up webcomics for Lent and it’s been great coming back to Serenity Rose!!! (what a suspenseful bit to come back to! XD)
      My bets are on Tess to come save Sera… but whatever as long as I get to read the next one soon!!!!!!!!
