Time to answer for what you’ve unintentionally done Sera. Face the music, once and for all, and maybe this wouldn’t have all happened in vain.

    • Squeek Says:

sigh…….I had really hoped Tess was going to turn into a really nifty
friend-type person…maybe she’s just trying to protect her..
      I dunno…we’ll see….

      There’s gotta be SOMEONE that’ll stand by Sera….. :(

    • Gary Says:

Interesting direction he’s gone with the questions… an MRI? Brain scan?

Glad to hear Tess is alive and well, (for the most part) but I am seriously confused as to what exactly is in store for our darling protagonist. I would guess we’ll be seeing some more of Vicious soon, someone who’s advice Sera will heed, but then again, I’m not the writer.

    • Ithos Says:

crap. scanning my own brain, as far as I can remember all events, the are definitely schizophrenic symptoms. Post-traumatic stress, blackouts, poor family medical history….

however, setting a plot twist like this with 50 pages to go?… Alexovich, you have so far given me reason to believe that you’re a better writer than that… but there’s more to come, of course.

And update next tuesday?! Crazy I tell you, crazy!

      :)

    • skrapyard Says:

so Tess crashed into that sign head first, and not even a concussion? What’s that skull made of anyway, granite?

    • Nocturne Chanson Says:

Poor Tess new she would not go unscathed after that attack. I’m sure the oily tounged fellow has her believing that she was helping sera by talking. Pain clouds the mind. An MRI could be interesting to see if Sera’s brain is different than ours.

    • Claire Says:

Merrick is seeming more and more like possibly a good guy. Mad at Sera for not being more proactive about this, which is understandable… but interested in actually getting to the bottom of this, without overly vilifying crazy-witchie over here. He seems (so far) to think she’s dumb, but not inherently evil. Which is a nice turnaround from the “thing” days … if I’m reading it right, that is…

Still I hope Lois has the sense to NOT give them a moment alone.

I don’t think Tess betrayed Sera by telling him things … all the evidence points to Sera not being able/willing to deal with this stuff on her own, so someone needs to be brought in to help. I don’t know if SSI would have been my first choice, but he was there asking. Question remains of what he’s going to end up doing with the info, maybe he will not be such a good guy after all, but I think Tess did the right thing.

    • alphatroll Says:

Wow…. he WAS talking about Tess! Surprising, since he hadn’t ever mentioned her before …. and I doubt anyone else’s called her “little” recently ;) (maybe he never actually saw her & wasn’t watching the news?)

(if breaking an arm leads to the Left Hand Of Doom, she’s gonna be pretty scary when she gets out of that hospital….!)

(and as for brain scans, all that stuff’s in *my* brain too, i’ve seen the pictures! it’s hardly a science yet….. better than phrenology, but far from “reliable”.)

I’m definitely with Clair on the leaving-Sera-alone issue…. “No, she’s pretty shaken up right now, I think I’ll stay with her. Gotta protect my citizens after all.”

Because Merrick *IS* evil, dammit ;)

    • Dragon Says:

I keep having to remind myself when I’m reading the comments, I keep trying not to say, “Just calm down. Let things unfold.” I’m a writer (Not published yet) and I keep having to tell people that when they get all crazy about stuff.

I’m not going to start guessing what’s going to happen next! Good luck, to whatever might occur!

    • Sphyrna Lewini Says:

Why have you never told us about Tyler Durden?!

(I told you never to talk to her about me)

It’s okay, brain scans don’t hurt that bad.

    • Lorien Says:

I kind of doubt Stilleta’s a hallucination. Didn’t she have a phone that connected to Skarsdayle in WTtN?

I sure hope Lois doesn’t leave. Sera needs *some* kind of support, even if it’s just another person around. >:

    • onom starr Says:

I’m thinking that not all of this is her fault. For the most part, Sera may be making these little beasties, but Stiletta could be the one setting them on everyone.

Merrick, however, might not see things this way. LOIS, DON’T LEAVE THE ROOM!!
