    • Dave Van Domelen Says:

Huh. I wonder if the goggles are cybernetic eyes of some sort, or simply a Doctor Mid-nite-like filter to let him see with what his eyes have become?

    • Gary Says:

Twin Pines? Is that the place with the brain scans? SSi headquarters? Both?

Speculation be damned, I’m still jazzed about the bi-weekly postings! Also, go Lois!

    • Maggie Says:

Did Sera get a haircut or have I just not noticed how much she looks like Stiletta? I mean look at her hair! They look exactly alike now!

    • skrapyard Says:

Twin Pines?? ….that really sounds like a place where a secret government agency would be….like Langley.

    • Claire Says:

      GO LOIS.
But why did she call him Mr Laforge? Is this a reference I’m not getting? :p
And (bypassing the whole “Lois used to be a priest?!” part) what does being a priest have to do with relative rank?

And so … being decent to Sera has only been about publicity? Well.

    • Tracy Says:

Don’t know if this is the reference, but La Forge is the dude on one of the Star Trek shows who is blind and wears a thing that looks like a headband over his eyes to see.

And Twin Pines is the mall in Back to the Future.

    • Squeek Says:

YES! Geordi La Forge!! AHAHA! Fantastic Reference! Oh man….
      I love you Mr. A.

Who’s at Twin Pines? and what do they plan on doing to try an “change that impression”? o.o

    • Henshu Says:

XD It IS the mall in back to the future, but I sort of doubt that’s what he’s referring to.
Especially since the name was changed to “lone pine” after Marty smashed one of them in the past.

    • Paul Says:

Maybe Twin Pines is a reference to Twin Peaks, another little woodsy town with funky goings on. Laforge is a genius little insert. I wonder if that’s really his name, or if Lois is cracking a joke.

    • alphatroll Says:

so that *was* Star Trek on the TV! :) i’m wondering if churchy background is just something you need if you’re going to deal with supernatural thingies much. Or maybe just something people *think* they need. Like everybody’s watched The Exorcist too much or something.

For the record, I think “Twin Pines” has a nicer ring to it, and “Two Pines” sounds like it’d be in Arizona or New Mexico or Colorado or maybe the desert-ier parts of California. Not really “Back East” anyway. (it *is* Back East isn’t it? seems like that was mentioned somewhere…..)

    • ink Says:

okay wait i am so confused. Lois was a priest? Merrick’s last name is Laforge? What’s Twin Pines? and why does Sera suddenly look like Stiletta?

    • essrose Says:

alphatroll: Actually, I was thinking SSI HQ should be in Colorado, so “Two Pines” is starting to look even better.

ink: Scroll up a few comments for the LaForge and Twin Pines answers. The priest and Stiletta things, though… you’re all on your own.

      MUAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAcoughcoughHAHA…

    • Edison T Allere Says:

Why does everyone think that “Twin Pines” sounds like a secret gov’t agency? Sounds to me like an inn… in New England… with lots of old people… and shit like that

(P.S. I LOVE TESS SO MUCH)
