y’know, i can think of lots of other “existential threats to our race”….. can even think of times phrases like that have been used much more hyperbolically……. so really, just how much of a threat does a mindset like mr. Vogel’s constitute? relatively speaking…….

So I have decided to take an unbiased look at this page.

That said, I think that one some of this…the man has a few points made, here. There is no denying, witches have a high potential for being really, truly dangerous. Look at Rivet Hed. Look at STILETTA. I’m sure that there have also been a number of past cases where a witch went postal. And there should be someone around who can deal with them when this happens.

Contrariwise, we must look into the psyche of he who hunts monsters. If this man did not already have biases towards witches, he quite obviously has them now. He will attack any deemed ‘dangerous’, rightly or not, with guns blazing, remorseless even if he were proven wrong, I am sure. He also seems to consider those close to the witches to either be likewise dangerous or amoral, or that they should have the witch removed from their lives ‘for their own good.’ Furthermore, as someone said, what if the powers tried to keep up friendly contact with the witches? made sure they were alright, instill programs that preserved their privacy (I’m lookin’ at you, Mayor of Crestfallen), spread public awareness that they aren’t just hell-born monsters, and so on? Things would probably be…quite a bit more peaceful.

Anyway, my New Baddy radar is pinging. I wonder if Mr/ Vogel will be heard from soon…possibly in relation to a likely Sera v SSI showdown of some sort?
