Cool, we’re getting into what Merrick’s about now. I’ve been curious about him since he first started talking.

    • Hat Rabbit Says:

      “An Ogre touched his pee-pee”
      I lol’d.

I do like the little pannel with Sera and Zoe, oddly very sweet. Zoe makes a good mom-person, I do think.

    • Gary Says:

So what type of SSI man is he? Personally wounded I’d have to guess, what with all the face burn marks covering the better half of of his shiny dome-piece. Also, just how did he know Sera takes three sugars with her tea? Huh?

    • Teim Says:

Hey Aaron, not to be a stick in the mud but..

      Should

      “Just play to with”

      be

      “Just to play with” ?

    • Ban Says:

I too am curious about where Merrick is going with this.

Also, I lol along side of Hat Rabbit.

    • Ashvati Says:

I was not expecting this. Then again, I didn’t know what to expect, so I would prolly be saying that no matter what he did. I’m starting to like Merrick now. It sounds like he joined either because of the burns, or to actually stop those witches that actually do constitute a threat to others, and just got the burns in the line of duty.

    • Chato Says:

See that, Merrick’s on the right side of things. As an authority figure I know it can seem hard for all of you to see him as being trustworthy.

    • Squeek Says:

Teim to the rescue! again! :D

      lol Hat Rabbit and Gary..

I want that tea pot now…

Also, I love Zoe…Sera’s got a good mom there, she does.

    • OnomStarr Says:

It still doesn’t seem very fun that she has to be separated from Zoe and little Mary-Ann, and on top of that have to hear this guy’s life story.

He does seem to like dragging out these little encounters of theirs.

    • Claire Says:

Fawndolyn… I hadn’t thought of that, but now that you’ve said it… oh dear. Can witches get poisoned? Has that ever been addressed?

All his monologuing makes me antsy. I don’t trust people who talk so much. I’m not saying he’s bad … just that I don’t trust him. Not yet, anyway; though if this is the part where he comes clean with Sera about how he was one of the SSIs that invaded her home that night, it’ll be a few points in his favor.
Have to wait til Thursday and see.

    • alphatroll Says:

wow, he has fancy electric eyes *and* a silver tongue….. after his behavior at Lois’, my distrust for this guy is eternal. smooth exterior, boiling steam underneath. just like Zoe’s teapot.

    • Zoe Says:

Nice one alphatroll… I’m not making judgements jussst yet… who knows what Merrick has in store… >.<

    • Ashvati Says:

I think Merrick may have just said those things earlier because of the ppl he worked with getting hurt/killed.Or maybe he originally joined out of anger and smartened up, but still has moments of that old anger after a raid or whatever goes bad.

    • tomh Says:

i was wondering about the sugar cubes also, poison no, drugs could be, but he’d still have to get her past Lois. Which is not to say he doesn’t have a couple of truckloads of SSI minions rolling up the driveway…
But he was in, actually in the house, on the first SSI encounter with Sera. Which was led by Mr jury was wrong-I was right. And from that encounter he should know Sera doesn’t harm people needlessly. And now he is in charge. Thursday’s dialog should be interesting

    • Sleepy_Eyes Says:

Well well, this is interesting. I’m not going to make ay real convictions yet, but sp far this seems to be on the way to confirming my impression of Merrick. So far.

I admit, it makes me a tiny bit sad how obstinately suspicious most everyone is of him…It’s understandable, but…Well, if anything, consider how OBVIOUS that would be. No fun ‘t all! It just seems this isn’t exactly the kind of story that would have clear segregtions between ‘the good group’ and ‘the bad, loathsome, vile group’. SSI has done some bad things, but…I doubt they’re all bad. They’re all human, for one thing.

      Eh, I digress.

    • Pixy Says:

I feel like Merrick’s just luring Sera into a false sense of security…I think we’re going to see a very friendly Merrick for many pages before he shows his true colors. He’s just……still so creepy. Totally seems like he knows what he’s doing…
