      Is she witch-cauterizing his impromptu amputation there? Good luck re-attaching that one… Merrick is going to end up as just a head and torso by the end of this.

      I hate to point fingers (or guns) but he did kind of ask for it by busting in, guns ablazing.
      It looks like he could use a hand.

      I guess that Merrick couldn’t handle the situation. But when push comes to shove, I guess he just couldn’t cut it.

      (can you take the PUNishment?)

      Merrick jinxed it when he said he just wanted to keep the blood off his shirts.

      Merrick probably didn’t deserve that, not all bad guys are really bad.

      Stilleta, is she real or is she memor-ecto-ex (sorry). I’m goona’ go with real.
      And when she doesn’t disappear, Sera’s reaction will very interesting

      And I’ll try not to dwell too much on this till next Tuesday….

      @Sphyrna Lewini: What are you talking about? He took out his gun after they saw her because she’s obviously a threat. If you walked into a room and saw someone like her floating there, surrounded by dead people and holding two bloody blades, you wouldn’t have to be like Victor Vogel to get your gun out.

      Also, aparently Merrick was telling a little white lie when he said he didn’t bring a firearm. Can’t say I blame him, in his line of work.

      Now I feel even worse for Sera. Merrick seemed to sincerely want to help, and now he might die. And without him to keep the Victor Vogels from just killing off all witches…

      Could a witch turn another witch into ectoplasm? Like if they were fighting, and one just went “fuck this” and snotified the other. I would at least try it.

      & even I’m disappoined in his little lie about the gun. Part of me was *hoping* that he was an angry guy *trying* to get better, ’cause in some ways he kinda parallels Humbly, who wants to save Mary Grissle so he can destroy the Twitchriddle’s heart & be allowed to love….

      Merrick’s such an enigma, so like both Humbly *and* the Twitch in different ways.

      But notice how he slammed the door on the others so they didn’t enter the room… He’s a quasi-good guy…

      @Carolyn…. Thanks fer pointing that out! It *is* nice to see that protecting others is somewhere among his top priorities…..

      & just wonderin’….. Sera fixes TVs without knowing any electronics…… if she was quick (and confident) enuf, i wonder……
