@skrapyard: The statue is of Charles-Without-End, not (as far as we know) Valentine, tho the similar eye-tats hint at some sort of connection.

The implication that I’ve been picking up so far has been that Valentine and Charles-Without-End are the same person (she said how Valentine was only one of a thousand names) … which gives sort of an extra symbolic tang to all the ruckus happening literally right under Charlie’s (cold, statuary) nose. Oh no, it’s all Stiletta’s initiative … master’s got nothing to do with all the apprentice’s schemes … riiight.

definitely a double move. one through the wall out of the house and the second toss into the woods. Is Stilleta going to attack Lois, Zoe, merrick, etc now that “wimpy” Sera is out of the picture or will she pursue Sera for more “fun” and will Sera wake up like she did at the statue-ecto battle and start to fight back. Tune in next Tuesday when the story will continue…

Jealous, much? I’m not sure what she’s hoping to accomplish though, Stiletta can’t really gain anything from kicking Serenity’s ass, except for self satisfaction.. maybe that’s all she needs. Hmm.
I agree with Claire. I’ve been getting a vibe that Charles and Valentine are the same person, or at least have a strong connection somehow.

@Aldebaran: IIRC, Charles’ eye-tats only really show one that one sepia-toned page about the founding & history of Crestfallen, I don’t think they’re really noticeable on the statue (or maybe I just get distracted….)
@Claire etc: I’m definately in with “Valentine = Charles” as a *possibility*…. they’re surely connected in *some* way. I’m *hoping* he’s not, ’cause if the house was originally the old Chateau-Sans-Fin (as I suspect), he’s got home-court advantage. Of course, they don’t really seem to be *staying* in the house, so perhaps it’s moot.
Maybe I just like the idea of some forgotten trinket or secret lyin’ around that Sera could use to her advantage. I like to imagine that Charles is somehow “on Sera’s side”.
Without-End. Hmmm…suggests immortality and now I feel stupid for not considering the implication that they are the same person. What is the limit on life span for witches? Is it connected to raw power? Baba-Yaga is apparently still alive and she’s named in folk tales.
Valentine’s known to have been around at least since the middle ages.
(at least that’s how it appears from Sera’s scribbled note in ish #1…..)
