      Is that prehaps the cave? There was a large amount of ecto on the cavern ceiling…

      Also, I’m getting curious at what’s happening back at Seranity’s house with Chesire cat Merrick, Zoey and ‘Valentine’

      whether she’s “talking” to Tess or someone else when she gets pushed into a corner Sera tends to hold back until the very very last moment. Thus when she says “it wasn’t everything”, Stilleta might not want to gloat in triumph just yet…

      still says 120 parts so at #115 that’s 5 pages, 2 1/2 weeks left

      This has all been fantastic thus far, the magic fight has been amazing, and I am totally drawn in to it. I do have to say that the top half of this page was confusing at first though; I was able to puzzle out that there are three panels, but because the gutters are black, I thought the large panel with Sera and the wide one with Stilleta were the same panel at first. It took me a moment to realize the camera angle changed between the two of them. The lines between those two panels don’t line up exactly, but just close enough that I had to double-take.

      Anyway, I am totally hooked on this. On the last page I almost didn’t believe Sera had actually been impaled by that thing, was waiting for the other shoe to fall, for it to be revealed to have just missed her–but I guess she’s pretty well stuck on it. Worrisome! That’s a serious injury. I am hoping she’ll be able to pull through all right.

      They’re in the cave. Stiletta’s about to be crushed by a giant wad of teen angst & sexual confusion. Meanwhile Vicious is beating Valentine to death in a badass entirely off-screen Battle of the V’s, and Merrick, Lois, and Zoe are in fact having a lovely tea party with Mary-Ann. (Kelton and Tess are about to show up, they’re bringing crumpets & cucumber sandwiches)

      This is what I have to tell myself so that I can keep an even keel until Tuesday. The suspense is seriously getting to me! It’s so … climactic.

      Also, 122 parts? Mr A. You’re such a tease. Any word yet on whether the book will include color or not?

      Um, hint d00ds, in Aaron’s most recent blog post he mentions planning volume III, I don’t think lil’ witchy is done for just yet. Unless she has one damn elaborate funeral Aaron thought we’d like to see.

      Looks like Stilletta’s gonna end up pretty much where she started: a scary dark hole in the ground.

      Sam: Yeah, I know what you mean. I actually had a white border around the third panel at one point, but it just looked weird to me. In the battle between art and clarity, art pretty much always wins. Bad habit!

      Edison: I’ve been alive for 32 years, and the battery thing has never occurred to me. How weird is THAT?

      Whoop, wrong AA…. Ack-Ack was WWs-era Brit slang for Anti-Aircraft weapons, usually in the form of some kind of “battery” gun. It comes from the ‘AA’ too.

      @”grimusing”: don’t fink I seed the film, but found the comment quite amusing anywayz! Dunny *why* i though of that other kinda battery first anywayz…. prolly just ’cause they’re more complicated, & eye likes complicated.

      wild guess: did it have anything to do with Blackadder? just *sounds* vaguely like that kinda humor, even tho i ain’t seed much of it. idunno, i’m only British by birth, don’t even remember The Oxford Year. :P

      @GrimMusin’s: well of *course* i’ve seen that one, it *is* by Tim Burton…. took me a while to remember the “ack-ack” bit tho, even when you named it. Can’t think of a battery connection tho….

      besides, to me that movie will always be about flaming cattle, president Nicholson, and Priscilla-chihuahuas!

      Bueno tanbien esperaba que Stiletta se clavara la espada al caer pero no a sido asin.
