Hmmm....I guess that makes as much sence as anything else. I'll save the "What's jewelery for?" question for a later date.

For an everyday joe like me? Yes.
For that guy who has 67 piercings? No.

For me it just looks nice. I actually find piercings quite sexy.

Some poeple on the other hand have an obsession about pircings (=a piercing fetish). Some want to get them in certain places, some just want them anywhere and some don't even want the jewel: they just pierce themselves.
Any psychologist could give an valid explanation to why they find piercings so fascinating, but the reasons vary from person to person. My speculation is, that it has something to do with testing one's limits. It's kinda like with goredeath- metal lyrics: disgusting mental images fascinate people. The thought of piercing (which is technically mutilation) is naturally more or less repulsive. Getting a piercing is a way of dealing with that natural repulsion; it's a way of challencing it and some people just get great kicks out of that. For me it's mainly a matter of looks

I had my left ear peirced for a while, but I've been unintentionally harpoo-I mean pierced quite a few times, usually through the shoulder oer stomach(no foolin)

I can just about understand that it generally boils down to the fetish thing in the extreme cases... but these days tatoos and peircings are just kinda fashionable and one of those "i'm diferent because" things...

I'm figuring i'll soon be the only person without one.. .and then i'll be the only individual left

T.F.O., long time, no see aye? anyways... since I'm a girl I already have 2 piercings both ears, but I also want a nose ring and a few more earings up top of my ears and a bottom lip ring... but I just don't want the crucifing pain... and most girls DON'T think nipple rings are cool, to me its a turn off and dick rings are a no go... but most guys look sexy with pierced ears

I have no extra holes as of yet. I spend my extra money on tattoos and saving money for renewing tattoos. I don't want to have my tattoos to get all old and really faded. Like every so many years I'll have work done.
