Can't we talk about nice things, like nightmare spiders?

Or a Brazilian hair spider. Looks just like a strand of hair. Then it bites you. With fangs. Full of nightmare venom.

One evening, when I was a small child, I was peacefully reading a book, I then looked to the left and noticed the big black spider climbing up my arm.........

Once I was visiting Tucson, AZ during rainy season. When it's all puddly outside, the tarantulas decide that inside is the best place to stay, and sometimes they creep up on you while you're sleeping.

This would be fine, if we sleeping folks didn't have to wake up.

But I did.

Oh how I did.

*shivers*

However, I quite like baby spiders, when they're coming out of their web sack thingie I pick them up and spread them out across the garden.

So, Scissorhands, I take it you didn't enjoy the movie Eight-Legged Freaks?

<.< >.> If your afraid of spiders, none should ever enter my room. I don't have pet spiders, I have roommates. :D

And as for the nightmare of the giant spider sitting on the ceiling? I have a very realistic furry black spider "sitting" above my bed just to freak out my friends.

~Giggles~ There is a rule in my room: "If something looks like it hasn't been moved for awhile, don't taunt it". My friends wanted to go hiking around my neighborhood one night and told me to put on my nikes (which I didn't know I had .. ). I hit the shoes on the floor, a cute widdle spider the size of my thumb rolled out, my friends jumped on the bed shrieking, and I put the nice lady back into her shoe.

Between spiders and mosquitoes, I choose spiders. They're adorable.

The bite of a black tarantula is no worse than a bee sting. 'Course, I personally don't like being stung by bees.

When I go to Ireland I stay in a house in the country, and it's infested with spiders. For every one I put out, there's another 3 hiding in the walls. Just when I start to get used to them, it's time to go home. I don't see that type of spider in England, they have very small bodies and very long, thin legs. And their webs sting.
