also, you recent arties make me sad because they make me remember how much i've fallen out of touch with colour pencilling! i used to love it and be pretty good and then obne day i thought "hm let me try this computer colouring thing out" and really havent touched them since. it's been literally YEARS :sad:

I might just get into using colour again myself. Ive never been much for using colour, but with the great scenery up here in Brooklin Maine, i think i could get inspired. I may even get into painting a little. Seriously, its amazing here. Especially at these houses that my grandfather gardens. Yeah, im working as a landscaper's assistant at the moment. Great way to make money after graduation. CLass of '08!!

Did this for a contest on Gaia, and won third place! It was up against some a-mazing digital work, so I'm very happy to place at all.

I'll soon be posting the character work I'm doing for the film we're making next semester! We've got an absolutely fantastic layout guy, and god-willing, this film will end up finished and lurvely.

I love the effect of the rain and the coloring in the first piece!
She's so cute!

The black outline around her in contrast with the color/
shadow-highlight separated background throws me off a little,
but she still makes me smile greatly.

Congrats on winning 3rd place!

I really like the black and white one the most though....
I am in LOVE with the pattern you have going on in that dress.
I bet that took a HORDE of patience!

Can't wait to see more!

I'm so glad you like the inks; I'm a little out of practice, but getting back into it was loads of fun.
Squeek: It does take lots of patience, but at the same time, you get into a sort of zen mode, and it doesn't get irritating like you'd think it would.

I'm trying hard to understand folds in fabric better, because next semester I'm going to be animating a character in a full medieval-style gown. :eek:

Yeah, I was actually going to mention that just now.

I really wanted to make these plushies for you, guys, but my world is ridiculously busy, especially with the film we're making next semester. 5 minute animated film...it's going to be hectic, to say the least.
So the plushie project is probably not going to happen.

I had been hoping I'd be able to find time to devote to getting those little suckers made, but I barely even have time to finish my regular work. xD

Sho. Please don't be sad.
Maybe some day, likely after graduation, I can do this for you guys.
I feel so bad about having to back out. :sad:
