T_T... my comic store hasn't even got #4 in stock yet, and they dont even know when SLG comics are coming in again for new stock... they're are so lazy and need to get their act together i swear.

na... i dont think all comic stores get their comics in stock on thursdays, because the comic store about an hr away from here has them in stock already.

Rah! Issue 4 is all got and read

. Needless to say it was chock full 'o sparkly goodness. Maybes a bit too much plot and not enough Vicious though.

And I think two Neverending Story quotes in one issue is pushing it, don't you, Mr A?

On a side note, did anyone notice that the gremlins at SLG updated? I guess it is only a matter of time before Mr. A releases the secrets of his "massively huge" new project. mu ha ha ha.

Seriously, dude. Get the comic before you browse into this thread. You're only spoiling it for yourself.

i have to admit, i am not the biggest fan of serenity rose... i just don't get it... My girlfriend loves it... I don't think it is sadistic enough to be funny, and the art is nothing spectacular, the story line is incoherent at best. if you are looking for an incoherent plot, or humor, lupin the third (the comic, not the show) has it beat... and as for art... any person with a hand can draw as well as the penciler... it isn't rebelious, because now every stupid girl in america all thinks it is, and therefroe they have latched onto it and ruined any appeal it ma have had, just like they did to invader zim and like they are doing to south park... no offence, bu trendy girls ruin everything they touch... and btw, unless you didn't ntice, serenity rose, and the entire ilk (anthing by jonen vasquez in particular) is trendy. I just don't get what you all see... and if you ahve to think about that, you are wrong, the answer is nothing... it is utterly worthless. go do somehing better with your life, try to improve someone's life rather than just wasting away in your selfish sulky bullsh!t.

hmm...
i think the gut reaction of most of the people here reading that last post would "omg you suck, s rose rocks!"
which would be fair enough, after all this is pretty much a place for people to tell aaron how much we love his stuff..
and anyone saying otherwise so bluntly is going to rile some people..

but i guess everyone can't like it
(even something as fecking awsome as s rose it seems!)
everyones tastes are different ,
and so on and so forth.

('tho i must confess.. i'v never disliked anything enough to bother posting on a random forum to share my opinion with a bunch of strangers who i know will dissagree, but that's just me i guess)

i could never quite understand peoples obsession with trends though..

it just seems a bit daft to dissmiss a style of art (or anything else for that matter) and any fans of it just because you see it as "trendy"
that seems to me just as silly as liking something just because it's "trendy"

i decided a while ago, whatever i like,
there's probably thousands of other people out there who like it too.
and whatever thier reasons for connecting with it,
i shouldn't let that affect what I like

even if some of these fellow fans are obnoxious feckers who i wouldn't want to have anything in common with
(*winces at some MSI fans out there*)
it's just the way things are

trendy girls ruin nothing!

of course some people seem naturaly pre-disposioned to buy into whatever pre-packaged scene the're presented with at the time
if that scene includes some things i enjoy
it's no big deal!
it doesn't change the music i own
it doesn't sneak into my room and burn my comics
it just means i get to see more girls in too much eyeliner on mtv

i'l shut up now
because everyone has different opinions on this subject
and you can cover it from any number of different angles

all that rubbish up there was just my two pence

Since we are not going to change our opinion of Serenty Rose, why did you even bother coming in here? Did you come in here in hopes of diverting us away from our literary interests? Well I assume you failed at that, so that post is *Cue Irony* worthless.

Also some other stuff I would like to say is that I like the Art. If I could draw like that, I would have no doubt of securing an art job in the future. And Serenity Rose does have plot, a probably deep and moving plot, it's just taking Aaron while to lead us to it. And,yes, it is quite rebelous. Name how many comics you have seen with this type art or structure. I can't think of any I've seen.

If you don't like it, tough. It's here to stay and we too busy wasting away in our selfish sulky bullshit to let it go.

i have been comanded to post an official appology for my earler statement, which specifically bashed serenity rose. and so here it is...

I hereby declare that i, phreekmatik, am sorry for any harm i may have caused with my rather derogatory oppinion of this comic. I respect the fact that you all like this comic, and am sicerely sorry for upsetting any of you who read my above post. I also recognize that just because i don't like the comic doesn't make it bad. I will not back down on my oppinion, as it is protected by the first ammendment, however i will appoloize for and distress i have caused

And by the way, johnny the homicidal manic, and squee, boom two comics with the same basic art type and structure
