Halp! need tracklist ideas!

Well, i've been trying for some time to put together THE ULTIMATE HALLOWEEN music collection and i could use some suggestions.
i've got some good stuff going so far, but someone else's brain would definitely help to think outside of my own brain box.
what i'm looking for:
songs about halloween
songs named halloween
songs that refer to halloween
themes to scary or spooky movies
songs on the soundtrack or score to scary or spooky movies
songs about the supernatural (re: vampires, hell, etc)
songs about death and murder
...and you other stuff in this sort of vein.
i'm thinking it is going to be at least two CDs long, one disc being live instrument bands (re: rock, punk rock) and the other being synth based.
all suggestions will be duly considered (but it would be very helpful if you could tell the genre in case i havent heard of it) even cover versions!

Well there's Harry the Head by The Residents.

http://www.youtube.com/v/0dFukfz65pU

It's about a decapitated head that lives in a jar of formaldehyde that performs in a freak show, who dies when he pisses off this chick who knocks him over.
It has this pretty horror feel to it now that I think about it, though maybe not in the way you're looking for.

If you really want spooky the silent hill soundtracks should be perfect for Hallowen. (And any other day for that matter. :) )

I recommend to download the 3 first game soundtrack. I'm not sure about the rest of games after that. But I really love the music from the first 3 games. And I started to listen to them before I even played the games.

It's hard to to say what kind of music it is. They are all made by Akira Yamaoka. The second and the thrid are very emtionall in a spooky style. And the first game soundtrack is more of the spooky kind. Sort of like a zombie musical in a sewer. ;)

Halloween 1 and 2 by the Misfits.

Edit: Anything by Lordi, although if I had to suggest a song I'd say "They only come out at night" would be good, or "Blood Red Sandman" or "Would you love a Monsterman?" or "Deadite girls gone wild" or "Monster Monster"

Okay, almost anything by Lordi.

Also, I love trying to shoehorn The Aquabats into things but "The Cat with two heads" and "the thing on the bass amp" are pretty good.

oo cool! reminds me of tom waits' "eyeball kid"

but, man, no way could 2 CDs ever even come close to enough, even if they were mp3. prolly not even 2 double-sided double-layered DVDs for that matter. but don't let that stop you from trying!

for a totally-unknown wierd local band plug, google the Psyquatics. think late 50's/early 60's surf rock if the surfers were all from Innsmouth, MA... think it and know fear!

thanks for the helpfuls hints so far, you guys!
SLINKER: i listened to a random smattering of the silent hill tracks. it's weird, i find half of them GORGEOUS and the other half weird.
TEIM: oh yeah, there shall be Misfits ^^ and i must look into Lordi. i have only a passing knowledge of them. but, well, internet.
FDH: you are a giant FREAK. also, no i watched that video and it is pretty close to EXACTLY what i'm looking for. it has a very spooky sound even if you arent paying attention to what it's about.

also, i thought it might assist with the assist if i gave you a smattering of what i've got going so far. as of now, i have the beginning to disc 1 looking like this:

1. Beetlejuice theme
2. NBC soundtrack - this is halloween
3. Voltaire - when youre evil
4. squirell nut zippers - hell (the afterlife)
5. rezurex - everyday is halloween
6. 45 grave - party time
7. me first and the gimme gimmes - science fiction/double feature
8. misfits - monster mash

that's the official looking tracklist so far. other songs of interest:
concrete blond - bloodletting
creepshow - halloween (misfits cover trying to diversify bands)
choosing a version of "birds fly (whisper to a scream)" I have 3!
choosing a version of "bela lugosi's dead" (got several... anyone have a fave? i can track it down i bet if i dont have it)
something by creature feature, havent decided
choosing a version of "(don't fear) the reaper" (i have 3 of that too)
choosing a version of "cry little sister" as well
michael jackson - thriller
ray parker jr - ghostbusters
the birthday massacre - lovers end
e nomine - mitternacht
something by rob zombie (?)" the creeper" maybe?

and some others which escpae my mind at the moment. as you can see, i need a bit o' help....

Night on Bald Mountain!

Though I'd suggest cutting out the happy-ending, that's not very halloweeny at all.
Also:

Halloween - Siouxsie Sioux and the Banshees
Head Cut - Siouxsie Sioux and the Banshees
(pretty much any of the Banshees' music, really)
Dead Man's Party - Oingo Boingo
No one Lives Forever - Oingo Boingo

I like dose.

Ehh... might be too late, but:

Nightwish - Phantom of the Opera
or if you like, the original:
Andrew Lloyd Webber - Phantom of the Opera

The version sung by Nightwish is preferred though, better quality aaaaand the haunting opening is sooo so sexy. <3
More solid than the Iron Chef's.

no, it's not too late! i'm really taking my time with this one; going through "long lost" CDs and combing through everything to find "the good stuff." i want this compilation to really come together well, not only on its own but also when in combination with other CDs i have made and they are all put in the player on random.

suggestions still welcome!
