It's perty fun in a Joss-y Whedon-y sorta way. More wink-n-nudge silliness than yer usual super-fare, mixed in with the expected action-y stuff of course. If you go, stick around until the credits are *completely* done; there's a second "surprise" scene.

yes, alpha speaks the truth!

also, it may REALLY be beneficial to have seen Iron Man 1, Thor, and Captain America films BEFORE seeing The Avengers. there are other films of course mixed in with this continuity, but those three are really the most "important" for seeing Avengers.

its giant, as far as box office collection and reviews are concerned, but i just consider it ENTERTAINMENT movie,
and i really never underestimate the entertainment value of the Hulk Smash.
