Monthy Python's The meaning of life
I've seen it before, but it was a long time ago. Now I have it on DVD and even though I don't have any regrets for buying it, it's not that great. The comedy is great, but since it doesn't really have a story it's remains to be a collection of little episodes. They're more or less funny, but I always end up skipping some of them. This never happens with movies: the plot keeps the whole thing together.

Even their semi-plotted movie didn't follow all too well of a train of thought...

"...can we have your liver then?" ::snicker::

I like jus' about everything in that movie, save the exploding fat man. O_o

"Morning."

"Morning!"

"Morning."

It's great, but I think The holy grail (#1) and The life of brian (#2) are both better when considered as whole movies :P I used to consider The maning of life as the best of the three, but somehow I've started to appreciate the Holy Grail so much more.

Didn't like Life of Brian that much, exept for the Biggus Dickus part.

There's this really political guy on the student council who was always giving speeches during the strike who talked evactly like mr. Dickus.

I couldn't help laughing each time...

i can pretty much agree with that. although, to be fair, i havent seen Meaning of Life in AGES, but the other 2 much more recently. I dont think it could ever top Holy Grail as the best of the three. never.

but, back on topic...
i just rented "Super Size Me" the documentary about fast food and health problems.
but just before that i saw both Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Revenge of the Sith in the theater on the same day.

Devils rejects :tooth: I thought it was suprisingly good, it wasn't the best ever but it had all the elements of a movie I felt like seeing at the time.
If I only could I'd set the world on fire.

"Spanglish" that was the suckiest movie I have ever seen! I will never let my cousin decide what movie to rent AGAIN!... other than that... the second last movie was "Hating Alison Ashley" that was pretty goOd/funny.

Just caught An American Haunting.
It's pretty good. It all takes place in the colonial-like times, even though they try to pull some horsecrap 2006 narrative device. The people living in the house find an old doll and several letters explaining the American Haunting. There's a lot of that "da dum da dum dadumdadumdadum AHHHH!" which gets old fast, then the story is kinda good.
Went with the skools paranormal group, and the leader was pissed off with the direction they took, rambled on about many many "inaccurate" events.
So if you know about the Bell Haunting pretty well, you probably wouldn't want to see this, otherwise look for matinee prices, cheap days or dollar theater. it's good, but not worth the whole $9 (or price for late-night movie ticket in your respective currency)
wow, i almost sounded smort in there. yay!

"The Descent"

Horror movie, a group of females (haha did I just say females? My kind is worth shit I guess) wants to go on an adventure in a cave like in their old days. But creepy things lives down in the darkness... creepy, blind things

I admit I was creeped out. But only in two scenes, the rest was a little forced. Nothing scary really happened till after an hour had past, and when it hit, it hit like hell. That's what made the movie less watchable

But hey, british movies are watchable
