Some say that the voices of the tv characters were caucasian so it's fine and dandy to cast white kids in the parts. Yeah, i can understand from a casting view how having unaccented english speakers may let the actors focus more on emotional conveyance rather than speaking clearly and allow the audience to more easily accept a character but... Uncle. 'nuff said

It's still gonna be hard for me to get over the whole race bending things...
I was never going to see the movie anyway, I was never really a fan...
Still, I can really see where their coming from...
I've never felt so conflicted about a movie that I was never going to attend before in my life~! :eek:

I don't think race will have an affect on the quality of the film, but it would have been nice to get another film for the asian actors out there where they don't have to be stupid stereotypes.

I am getting pretty pumped about this movie now...
The water-bending looks epic.

and who doesn't love Appa?? but I wonder if Momo will make an appearance..hmmmm....
I'm so happy that they're not trying to squeeze it all into one movie, too..
or at least so far as I've heard they're going to be making 3 movies..

I think I'll be able to forgive them over the race thing if the people playing
the parts do a good job and the story follows fairly accurately...
So, as long as it doesn't pull any DBZ-movie crap..

The characters that I'm most upset over them pulling the whole race-card
thing, is Sokka and Katara....I just think the people they chose for them look something awful for the parts...
Katara (Nicola Peltz) looks WAY to young...
and both Jackson Rathbone and Nicole Peltz are so very pale...
SO VERY PALE.

Well, as a huge Avatar fan, I'm just hoping that the movie
will make me forget about all my qualms with the fuck-tarded changes.

but once the movie figures come out, you better believe Imma be doing some customizing.
