Game of Thrones

Am I the only person obsessed with this show? Everything about it is so bleak and hopeless, and nothing ever gets better for anybody. Awesome.

Sounds like something I might appreciate, if I ever get around to watching TV again someday. Anything like, say, the Gormenghast trilogy? That's pretty much my standard when it comes to bleak hopelessness.

I saw the whole season 1 through in one night. ( I was really sick that night and couldn't sleep.)

It's pretty nice, altough it feels like the sort of tv series I will get sick of between season 2 and 3. I'm really bad watching tv series like these. Especially when it feels like there will never been an end of. That all the conflicts will just drag on forever leaving more questions asked than answeared constantly.

But so far it has been really enjoyable. I'm just wondering of how long they keep it on without feeling repetious. I really hope it wont and as stylish as Rome did. But doubtful since the books themselfs has no real ending at the moment.

Hopefully that doesn't happen. The book series has two left for a total of seven, and the third season was just announced, and will encompass roughly half of book 3. Hopefully the show won't implode upon itself, as these things often do. Budgets become too big and people lose control and things can become far too self indulgent. It's usually around the 5th or 6th season when a show will become a parody of itself and 'Jump The Shark', so to speak.

Yeah I guess it's likly there wont even be a fifth season since the budget is so massiv. Although the thrid season was annonced before I even saw episode 2 of season 2 so there is clearly a massiv intrest of the show.

Urgh, I sound like I disliked the show. I don't, it's really good! :)
