yeah those tend to be some of the best comics i see, i can't believe i forgot about them.
at the convention i went to i think that most creative/crazy/bizarre/genius person that was there was this guy with this self published comic called "geeen" he was the best and he drew me a pic of a strutting banana, he kinda looks like a ladies-man banana :D

oh yeh self published/small press guys are THE BEST at conventions! they give you LOADS of stuff for free and always have the time to talk to you about their projects/autograph stuff/make you cool sketches! most of them are just so appreciative to have people GET their stuff. i ALWAYS support them in any way i can, especially if their cool at the con. most of them are so excited to actually sell something that they flag me down the next day and beg for criticism and critiques!
some of the small stuff i got into due to cons were:
Fade From Blue
Evenfall
Rummble Strips
The Adventures of Jinky Coronado
Intergalactic Sushi!
i'm sure there were many other, but i just can't think right now.

Do online comics count?

www.dominic-deegan.com
www.meninhats.com
www.cad-comic.com
www.errantstory.com
www.redmeat.com
www.reallifecomics.com (not that good, but good enough to pass the time with)
www.choppingblock.org/

Manga

Naruto
Berserk
Trigun
and some others,

I don't remember much about my interests since coming over here. That tends to happen when I'm put in a situation where everything becomes muddled due to lack of originality. Yesterday was the same as today so my brain decides memory is a waste of processing power or something. So understand that the lists are short.

Comics

Johnen Vasquez
Roman Dirge
Batman
some Spiderman
X-men
and... others....
Damn

Heehee...I read Chopping Block...one of my favourites. :D

But of all the internet comics I read, Something Positive is one of my favourites...the art's not that great, but the writing is brilliantly bitter.

For a taste:

"Rattlesnakes have rattles, porcupines have quills, and assholes have cellphones or Jesus fish on their cars."

The banana man guy was just a really cool guy. I came up to him when he was in the middle of drawing a burger guy whistliní and a walkiní and I asked him how much he was selling his drawings for cause I would love to buy one. And he just got this confused look on his face and said that he wasnít selling them and that they were just there. Thatís when I asked if he could do one for me... i also got one of his really cool stickers and badges

if you ever DO want to start, start at the beginning with Preludes & Nocturnes in collected edition. granted, they arent the best tales, but absolutely neccessary to read before reading later issues.
just FYI there....

I'm also alot into the art, and shading tecnique, and some of the books just have the blocks of color filling in the gaps....guess I've just been reading too much black and whites...I didn't think it suited the series...I could sit here all day and make up excuses...but I won't

It's nice it see some manga fans (not that they're that scarce) I love a lot of manga, but my absolute favorite title is Parasyte <3

And everyone who's anyone(/Azumanga fan) must check out Yotsuba&! :D

Other comic favorites also include:

oh no! JTHM (Which I have to admit I adored from beginning to end)
Lenore
Milk & Cheese
Bear
Little Scrowly
Saiko & Lavender
Maakies
Walking Dead
Goon
Preacher
Transmetropolitan
Owly (met Andy Runtun at Comic Con! He's such a nice guy, he drew on my Owly shirt x3)
Migrane Boy
The Rocketeer
Sonic the Hedgehog
Egg Story
and so on and so on

Webcomics:
Achewood
Penny Arcade
Mac Hall
VG Cats

I heard, I heard, that there is a second Johnny series in the works...but don't take my word on it, it's a rumor. I would be indeed happy if it was true :D.
