If it's a very popular gig (such as Black Sabbath reunion concert or something else as legendary) you might wanna camp out in front of the place. You just have to go and buy them. It won't do any good to sit home and think about getting them.

When Iron Maiden (my favourite band since I was 6 yrs old) came to Finland 30.06.2003 I went to the local distributor before they even started selling the tickets. The best part is I told my techer I was going to buy tickets to an Iron Maiden conser and she could either let me do it, or punish me for skipping a lesson. She actually let me do it :D If I had stayed in school I wouldn't have had a chance: every single ticket was sold out in three (!) hours.

I got the ticket for 52 euros, went to see the gig and watched my favourite song 2 minutes to midnight from the second row, center, in this huge friggin' indoors arena. One of the greatest moments of my life. It's impossible to describe how much that gig meant to me. Iron Maiden has been, is and will always be the band for me :)

You're teacher is mad! Never thought some teacher's would actually let you do that!... My favourite band since I was a little kid was "The Prodigy"... always has and always will, but Linkin Park will be above all :)

Well, I told her that the gig was so important for me there was no way she could keep me from stepping out of the classroom. I guess she thought it was easier to jus let me go than to make a scene out of it :D

For Rhymy, you should talk to your ex-girlfriend about it. Tell her that you have feelings for her friend, you aren't exactly asking her permission but you are giving her a heads up, and asking how she would feel about it.

It's funny, skelebunnykashe mentioned NIN and Moonrise mentioned The Prodigy and I get to see them both!!! In one music festival!!! Bauhaus, The Faint, Zapmama, The Dresden Dolls and a host of other fabulous musicians are also going to be there. HAHHA.

As for bitching... well there's a lot wrong with me.

My father is slowly killing himself, he drinks and does speed, cocain and occasionally heroin. He has Hep. C but won't stop drinking causing his liver to malfunction, the bones in his body are all shiftin cuasing serious issues.
My boyfriend of a year broke up with me, then we decided that we would continue to see each other but that we could see other people. The thing is that I don't want to see other people, I'm not sure that he does either but he gets drunk at parties and kisses other girls. I'm jealous and sad a lot but I can't let him go because I love him. We love each other, we've gone though this before, he has had a lot of horrible things happen to him and he has abandonment issues, eventually we'll get this thing sorted out and things will either end or change. In the meantime I'm stuck in this limbo and the only time I feel happy is when I'm with him, cause then I forget all the things that are bothering me, and he and I just hold each other. It's like some terrible dance we're locked into and the world is reeling around us and we both dizzy so we clutch at each other to keep from falling over. It's so difficult to explain. There's so much between us, he's been my best friend for four years, my lover. He is everything. I was so lost for the two-three weeks between us being broke up with no contact at all and the situation we are in now. Things are getting better though, I can read him well enough to know what's going on, but that doesn't stop me from hurting.

that sad to here about your father, from the sound of it, you might have tried to get him to stop but it was in vain right? if in this point you want him to stop you all need to take a harsh path and help him if thats the case....
now your boybuddy...did he ever tell you why he broke up with you in the first place?... poke around in his head to find out if there is something deeper that's picking at his person...if you can see it in him, ask...we all have secrets we wouldn't like to be seen unless otherwise...but try not let this depression get the better of you... try to look at it a different way if it helps any....if it doesn't then you two should ask each other if this is what has to happen, and if you really wish this upon yourselves.....

We all have a method to our maddness.

For Childofthesea, Oh woa, I dunno if you should talk to him about this, 'cause the drunk get pretty ugly when critisised... I dunno but that's my opinion, they get pretty brutal and God knows what will happen after you clash with 'em.
As for your Ex, You'd get over him, I'm sure you will, I did after I let someone go, I hated myself when I did but I got over him...

(OMG MAN!!! What is this? I keep liking the same guy on-and-off for at least four years now!!! How sad!!! But I don't like him now... 'cause I got someone else right now  )

For Serinoke, We all have a method to our madness... that's so damn true!
mine is to drink V... it actually calms me down... (V or Redbull? V man! They might taste the same but man, V is way better!)

I used to try and drop subtle hints to get my Papa to change, but it doesn't work and you can't talk directly to him about anything like that. He isn't a violent drunk, more philosophical and depressed. He's such a good guy, it's hard to watch.
As for John, he has abandonment issues and doesn't like becoming depending on people, and he was depending on me. That's why he broke up with me.
It's funny people tell me all the time that they got over someone eventually, but I think #1 that is a load of crap. You never really "get over" someone you really love, the pain just gets further away. #2 I don't want to have to "get over" him.
I can't imagine something as wonderful as what we have being something I have to "get over", fuck that. I'd rather work at maintainance aspects of it.
