I used to have a favorite song. It was "Atomic Dance Explosion" by Trance Control. Whenever I listened to that song nothing else mattered, my mind emptied and I was at peace. Then one day I'm making my brother and sister listen to it in the car because they listen to crap music and my brother goes "And now... MICHAEL JORDAN!!!" I had no idea that the song is used by the Chicago Bulls as a theme song of sorts. I felt so violated. That the one song that could do that for me was cheapened by being a basketball team's theme song just crushed me. Now I only get a melancholy ache when I listen to it.

It's that "Princess Azumanga" thing, look in Sites Of The Day (SOTD from now on) for a link to a crazy music video about the show made up entirely of font drawings.
