Zombie Dogs!

Postby Nega Knight » Fri Jul 01, 2005 12:50 am

"SCIENTISTS have created eerie zombie dogs, reanimating the canines after several hours of clinical death in attempts to develop suspended animation for humans."

Saw this on another forum I frequent, thought it was pretty neat. Kudos to Jethrek for bringing it to my attention.

Gaze upon the foolishness of these scientists. They honestly believe that can create zombiefied canines, thus creating an army of these abominations to lay waste to any enemy that opposes them. Heh heh...

Insane pions!

Well, they found no physical change in the animals' brains, but even not all of your personality is reliant on the physical structure of your brain. That's why there's both psychologist and psychiatrists. Image being risen from the dead; how would that affect you mentally?

Yes, I wouldn't mind being risen from the dead to continue serving, but it's the fear of the unkown that's keeping me from being excited about the idea.

I know you were just joking around/being sarcastic, but these are my concerns and I just wanted to put them out.

yeh i was just bein' screwy.
but it is an awfully spooky idea to be able to do that to people, particularly soldiers. it almost makes it sound as if you are the military's "property" and that they get to force you to keep fighting even after youre dead! feels unsettling to be thought of almost as "stuff" and not as people.

You don't understand: We are "Stuff". One of the many proper military terms for who I am is "Organic Weapon System". In joining the Army I sacrificed any claim to free time, an independent life, and I waived my Constitutional rights and powers. The military has a long history of using soldiers as guiena pigs for science. Not something I'm entirely comfortable with, but, you know, it always happens to 'someone else'.

Heh.

Wow. This is awesome. Do you guys have any idea how many people could be saved from catastrophies where there aren't enough doctors onhand to treat everybody?
This is incredible, this is medical history in the making. Then again, I'm a Bio major, I would say that.

Teim is quite right here: any decent survival plan in the case of zombie holocaust must include a group of people, a mall, a shotgun and an axe (preferrebly a chainsaw but they are more expensive and often not available. Besides they tend to run out of gas  ).
Just watch all the zombie- movies by Romero and try to learn from the mistakes the people make.

And remember: zombies are no good as pets. (I would know... Damn that bite stingsgroaaaargh)
