Whoo!
Let me reiterate, I prefer Changeling. :D

It's from the White Wolf set of RPG's, and it's amazing.
It's based around 'The Dreaming' which is basically a fae world.

The characters are various types of faerie, including the sluagh, which are basically the goths of the universe, in that they're mopey, and love spiders.
I play a 9 year-old sluagh.

If you want to read up on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Changeling_The_Dreaming

From the wiki:
* Boggan - workers and busybodies, house fairies, gnomes.
* Eshu - African or Indian spirits; travellers, storytellers, adventurers.
* Nocker - master artisans, critics, kobolds.
* Pooka - tricksters, shapechangers, animal spirits.
* Redcap - murderers and cannibals, monsters, hobgoblins.
* Satyr - lovers and revellers, horned god, Pan.
* Sidhe - the nobility, Lords and Ladies, elves, the Shining Host.
* Sluagh - keepers of secrets, bogeymen, shadows.
* Troll - honour-bound warriors, titans, giants.

Oh right, I thought you were talking about the newer Changling. I know nothing about the older one at all.

I played Vampire:The Requiem once with some mates, which was cool because we just set the whole thing in our town an Dublin city and we knew our way around and stuff. Also the fact that it was about 5 Anarch Fledglings who hunted in Goth bars in town and then got the last bus home made it pretty funny.

I really should have had on session about them missing the last bus and having to get somewhere safe within 3 hours.

Just so I don't have to do this later what stuff do you own/play?

I gots a list of mine, but I won't bore you with it for the moment.

Edit: ha! Nockers are cool!

Ohboyohboyohboyohboy

Teim Teeeeiiiim yaaay!

I'm going to go read up on my Changeling lore. I'm for it if people are for it.

See I've never played any of this stuff but I'm somewhat familiar with all of it because I read D&D novels (Salvatore, duh), read VtM comics and read one Requiem novel (Greg Stolze is <3) because the game Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines got me into it (FANTATSTIC FANTASTIC game, one of the best ever made, bluu)

i havent RPGed in a long, long time because all of the people who played with me moved away :-( we used to play Ravenloft. one of my favourite things was designing the characters and drawing them. :-D i really really, really like drawing RPG characters.

one of my friends is like and RPG expert or something. he has invented his own unverses and races and settings. he was unfortunately recently downsized from Dungeons & dragons Online and has been devolping a paper and pencil game of his own in his spare time. i really cannot comprehend how his brain can work like that. creating stuff for an RPG from scratch seems like a lot of work and understanding i simply do not have.

Indeed, really love it. Brings out the Malkavien in me. ;)

By the way, I tried it last week with this "un-offical" patch. And really recommend it! Because it fix a lot of things aswell as bring in some new stuff that somehow was left out when the game came out.

Yeah it's the only way to play the game, that's how I did it. I hear it's WAY too buggy out-of-box, even with the official patch. Testiment to the game's quality that it got patched to the level it did just by fans, came out in 2004 and the latest version was just earlier this year wuzinit?

So will we be doing Changling: The Dreaming or Changling: The Lost?

Poor Troika. I'm playing as a Brujah at the moment, I'm somewhere in Downtown.

Also why do I keep seeing more and more of my culture popping up in Changeling background stuff? I thought everyone was into Roman and Slavick and Asian mythology. I mean, we started a war over a bull, A BULL! Cúchulainn killed his best friend because of it all, really silly stuff.

Eeeh, it's just weird, nevermind me.

I like Changeling: The Dreaming best.
I've also got a veritable library on the game, between me and my roommates. (who are also my campaign fellows)

Teim - Blahaha, so you're familiar enough. Changling it is! Bygora!

Man that's right, yew played it tew. I haven't touched it in a while but I was going through as a Ventrue last time I did. Then I'm eager to do it as Nosferatu, but I'm doing a whitebread one first because I have yet to play through a "normal" game as I beat it with a Malkavian.

I don't know much about playing these games online, but I do know that it'd be best if you read the main book "Changeling: The Dreaming" and also the book on whatever kind of character you want to be.

Is that what you were asking?
