I don't know about you, but I finished mine years ago. And I still hold it against all of you.

Heck, even if we have a vote on a story, settling on who should make it would be a vicious struggle in itself(expect "fat chick cosplay" type of dream crushing to be involved) unless it's decided before hand and let's not get into motivation. As much as people like this comic, that alone may not be enough to put aside one's work to make a comic about it. Just seems like too many factors. It's also a big responsibility.

That being said, it's tempting to begin the idea again, especially if can get away with some fanservice. Not enough of that in the world.

Yeah, making a comic is really shaped to be a one-mans work.

I know someone who has work done similar things. That says a good way to pull it of is to give everyone diffrent sort of small tasks. One does scripting, the other makes an image-script. (Or storyboard maybe is a more correct name.) And a few does sketching, inking and colors. A good thing with this is that everyones styles mealts down togheter into one.

Or...we simply make one page each and let everyone do their "thing".

Not possible. It would quickly become an unfair battleground, with some pages looking better than others and generally degrading the whole project.

No, if we're going to do this, we're going to have to settle on at least three artists that will be doing the brunt of the work of penciling, inking, shading and perhaps lettering. We have someone else do the storyboard(I know I can do this) and yet another, perhaps a group effort, to make the story.

It's a lot of work.

I think he meant like an individual page each with no overarcing plot to it, like how we did it before.

And screw you, mine was great!

I don't really see it as a "battleground". :)

But yeah, I agree the best thing is to select a few people doing what they do best.

(I fail to see where I fit in to that but I'll come up with something...)

Oh, you don't? Well, let's put it this way: You have me, who not only came up with this idea, but also very likely to be involved with the finished product. A person who not only has a good art talent with imagination, but also has photoshop/fireworks skills and has even created Serinity Rose video game sprites.

Now put onto this project someone like....Paradox. Yeah, you know where I'm going with this(no offense to Paradox). Situations like this will probably be the most problematic if we take this course of action and that's why I suggested the three artists thing. As mean as this sounds, having artists without the right qualifications work on this is like putting the cripple on the swim team. They'll get inadvertently owned.

Dude, it's a fancomic, it's not like we are repainting one half of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel while another team of painters have the other half and the worst team gets murdered.

I see what you trying to say, and I'm pretty much the same. If I start with something like this I don't feel good about unless I do my very best. Not some "unserious" stuff like this.

But this would really require a lot of teamwork and trust against other people. And I don't really see how "battleground" fit into that sentence.

It just depends whither someone would want to buck the system if we decide artists or stories or something. The non-team player.

This is what I'm getting at. If we're going to do this, it better be our fucking best work, considering the time and labor it's going to take to get it done. We should get the best writers, the best storyboards and the best artists in Arron's fan base(or at least in this forum) to help create it. The mutual creativity and skill among them will help drive such a project forward, encouraging and inspiring all working on it to do their best.

Besides, if it's not going to be really good, I don't see why anyone would want to work on it.

True dat.

So I guess the plan is this?

1, Gather all people intrested(/skilled?) enough.

2, Decide what the fan-comic should be about and the amount of pages.

3, Writte a script.

4, Writte a screenplay. ( Explantion=Simply a script of text and simpel images of what is going to happen in every comic page and how it should look overall.)

5, Sketching.

6, Inking, coloring, lettering, shading, ect.

7, WORLD DOMINATION!

I don't like the idea of having a continuing plot throughout the fan-comic, and only a few artists.
I though the idea was to do this like SLG does the free comic book day comic that they put out.
Everyone has separate story lines, and everyone gets to do what they want. This is a project based on love for Aaron's characters and work, not on who's the best, and having to compete with anyone or anything.

Because it's based on our fandom, I can't see how someone less experienced would 'cripple' the team, because all the team is doing is telling Mr. A how much we love his work, and anyone can do that, no matter how inexperienced.

I think we should each have a maximum of 5 pages to tell our story, and then those who don't think they can handle that can take on less pages if they want.

I don't think Aaron is going to mind if some of the storylines have ammeture work in them.

Dude! I just got some inspiration!

Here I was going to suggest that we make the comic setting during Halloween since I already had these mask designs already...
Image
...then it hit me that we should make the comic about trick-or-treaters, thus negating us from worrying wither the characters are in character or not and also give us our own characters to work with. A Win Win situation.

I'm going to begin character designs. I think I'm going to replace the Tess mask with Vicious and Stiletta masks, that way we can keep slight theme going and use a title like "The Night of the Witches" or something like that. Three kids Trick-or-treating makes a nice jumping off point.

I'm all high about this. I'm going to work on character designs.

To me, it sounds like a good idea! Hope I can still help in some way!

Got some sketches done!

They need a little work(too many sweatshirts for Halloween costumes, needs more style), but it's a nice place to work from.

Now to plotting and story...
