New apartment (Again...) on monday. And thats when I bring the ol xbox. :)

Thinking about getting Gears of war 2. Seems like the kind of game I wanna spend time with instead of Lich king.

Otherwise, the game I'm looking most forward to is this piece.

I really loved the old Beyond Good and evil game. So it's really a big shame it didn't sold very well. It deservs way mora attation. So I really hope the sequal becomes just as good and makes enough money.

And the best game ever is this game!

You know Slinker, I really got interested in playing that Beyond Good and Evil game recently and just forgot all about it. Thanks for reminding me! Is there some easy way to acquire it with monies that would be supportive?

1) Left 4 dead is taking up almost all of my time. I love it to death. I'm picking up my copy tomorrow morning and I can't wait to have a proper version of the game. (oh and I love my PC)

I've seen several ppl play it, and it looks awesomely-awesome..
Unfortunately, I haves this nervousness...ness....that won't allow me to play games with zombies/ghoulies/ghosties/ anything that slightly resembles the undead..(essentially- Imma coward)
I've tried playing resident evil and silent hill, and I just about came undone at several moments..
I greatly enjoy watching ppl play scary games, though..
I've heard Dead Space is supposedly "The scariest game on the market" I'm skeptical, naturally.....but some ppl described it as being like Event Horizon the game..:o which makes me VERY interested.

Teim wrote:2) I'd comment on this if my Xbox would bloody download the update. The Avatars look a lot better than the Miis though.

Oh and i'm Teim on XBL

yea, I've heard from a lot of ppl that the new update is a pain in the ass
unless you've got really good connection..:???:
it's still kind of funky here and there even WITH a good connection,
freezing every now and then for several moments, and stuff not being
"available at the moment" :\
guess they're working out the kinks and such...

and w00t! I will adds both you, monsieur Teim, and you, sir Serinoke! :D

The Flying Dracula Hair: mmmmmm sega. :D
I used to have a Sega genesis!! till meh mom thought it was a good idea to
sells it and all my games for like $.50 :hmm: she did the same thing with
my playstation 1. and here's the catch....I had just been borrowing
the systems from my boyfriend and his uncle!!

that Love don't look half bad! it's nice to see a more artsy type game once and a while. :)

Slinker: Beyond Good and Evil looks VEEEEeeeery special and potentially epic. lol.
never played the first one. maybe I'll check it out! :D
oh, and silent hill 3? yes. it is amazing. but I can't play it!!!
I tried though. oh how I tried.
if I'm remembering correctly, was it the one where you start out in the carnival
w/ bunny suits strewn aboot? CREEEEEEEEEEPY.
I swore that if I saw a clown, at any point,
that I was going to die and shit mehself right there and then. :x

but yea, I stopped playing it b/c there was this "shadow-baby" thingy
that would set off your radio like crazy, but it wouldn't always hurt
you- and your bullets didn't do SHIT.

I entered a completely dark room with only the small flicker of my lamp to see by.
Standing staring into the abyss of impenetrable darkness,
I could feel my skin crawl and my pupils dilate, while searching the room for any signs of movement.
Suddenly- I was bewildered, and immediately mortified, by the horrible screech and crackle of my radio-
that in supposedly offering me piece of mind, alternatively delivered panic and horror..
a tiny shadow began to emerge from the darkness, biding it's time while it wobbled ever closer..
I began shooting frantically SCREAMING at the top of my lungs, as I did.
and as it edged forward, I became completely absorbed in the moment.
believing everything happening, as reality. that I was in REAL danger...
....and then.......
the shadowy-silhouette of what I could only describe as an infant....
dissipated straight through my body..
and it was gone.

I dropped the controller and have never played that game since. :dizzy:

LOOOOOOOOVE watching 'em though! :tooth:;

*shudder*...I gave mehself the heebie-jeebies.

right now, I've found most of my game-time to be taken up by either Fable 2,
Mirror's Edge is frustrating-but fun as hell, or Kingdom of Keflings. lol.

Mirror's Edge:
Gorgeous game. Interesting gameplay mechanics but can be really frustrating if you don't have your timing down. Or not frustrating, if you enjoy replaying the same section over and over until you get it right.. lol

I would love to see this sort of style game combined with other genres. Say throw more firearms in the mix or sword play. There you got Hong Kong shoot-out games and NINJA stuffs going on. Throw a little of this into the next Assassin's Creed too. :D

I'm still iffy on the whole new XBOX Live 'Experience'.. some of it seems much better but other things it feels like more work to get to. Yay for borkin the old themes.. and no way I'm paying 250MS points for 'premium' themes. >p

I much prefer the new guide button interface though. Gets me where I want, fast.

Left 4 Dead does seem pretty interesting. A lot of "oh shit!" moments in the demo. But from what I've heard there isn't any more variety in zombie types beyond what is shown in the demo. If it's the same for the rest of the game, that makes me a sad zombie-panda.

PLAY IT ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!!
:D

Would really make me happy if you did!

But no I don't know a smooth way to buy it today. I sometimes find a few preused copy in gamestores. And I think it was downloadable throw Steam some time ago. But it isn't now.

I've played it on PC, Gamecube and Playstation 2 and it works good on all of them. Although on some computers it doesen't work at all. (Might be cause it's getting old.)

Well despite this, I think I'm going to download it through Steam anyway, since I got the ten bucks.

Thanks for the rec!

So speaking of Steam and video games, my friend lent me his Steam account (never new what it was until now, though I've heard of it) so I can let Izzy play Portal - and not only did I have a blast re-beating Portal - but I introduced myself only two days ago to one of my NEW favorite things EVER: Half-Life 2.
No one ever told me how awesome this was. Now I have to play the first, and all the episodes.

Maybe it's because I'm not "in-the-loop", but it's hard to express how thrilled I am playing HF2, it's QUITE and experience. Though now I am in Ravenholm and it's scary as shit.

I don't really have much fun when I'm scared, anybody help me out with that?

Nothing particularly current has my interest at the moment.

I'm re-playing FF7 for the approximate six hundred billionth time. >>;

I'm also still playing Pheonix Wright: Ace Attourney (I don't pick the ole' DS up often; the battery's life is much shorter than my attention span when it comes to games and playing a portable console with the charger in just feels kinda lame).

I have a bunch of half-finished PS1 and PS2 games lying around, too. But, for the most part right now, it's a plain ol' free online MMORPG. Unfortunately, I've been internetless for something like a week (feels like an eternity) and am typing t his from my local library. So, all my friends on there probably think I spontaneously combusted or got a life (as if that'll ever happen to me) or something.
