ATTN: potential new members!

hi! i recently was granted almighty admin powers. one of the things i can do is review applications for membership in this here forum and either activate or delete these new accounts.

something you should know is that this forum gets flooded with between 50 and 100 applications PER DAY, nearly all of them being non-human spambots. i'm getting pretty good at separating the bots from the actual, real people, but i'm not perfect at it. one thing you, the applicant can do to speed up your account activation is to e-mail me directly after you submit it.

if you do this (and include your member name, please) i will know to look for you and there will be no doubt in my mind that your account is a valid one. i check my e-mail and log into bubblegum noir almost every day (as opposed to the other 2 admins, while super-awesome, are busy famous people who log in less frequently), so after seeing your e-mail i will activate your account immediately (likely within 24 hours).

i'm NOT saying you MUST e-mail me to get activated, just that it will definitely help expedite the process.
