The Serenity Rose Store

Postby Slinker » Thu Jun 25, 2009 4:17 am

So I was thinking that we could help Aaron out a bit by doing something that is easy for everyone! Giving our view of things. And whats better on that then all the products he is begging us to buy?

http://www.heartshapedskull.com/store/

So here goes all the talk about things you want to buy there, and products you might buy if it existed. And stuff you really dislike about them!

Personally I would really like to see some cooler Serenity Rose themed t-shirts. I'm a manic when it comes to crazy t-shirts and one with my favorit Sera would be awesome. I knew you had some Heartshapedskull t-shirts but they didn't really appeal to me.

Also I love the new wall-prints, they really looks awesome and could be something I would take on my empty walls. So that might happend. :)

hrmm....

I like the idea of new shirts, I do. :tooth:

I also like the pendant idea, but I don't know how much
that would cost Mr. A to make..

There are a ton of things I would like to own Sera-themed :);

The prints are epic. I want all of them.
The vicious one is actually my favorite one
even though Sera is my favorite character...:o
Vicious is just so wonderfully colorful! :D
makes me feel all warm and squishy-happy inside!

I really like how Aaron has shown the dramatic differences in the type
of attention paid to Sera vs. Vicious, though. very, very nice.

I think it would be awesome to have a Stiletta poster too... :???:

THIS.

Stiletta...oh how I love her!
I think she has a bigger fanbase than people think.

I plan on buying them all! They'll look so awesome next to each other by my desk.

i think he's going to finish the web thing before he distributes it.

its going t to be a while.

one thing that he could also do is merchandise of the oft-forgotten Humbly from Statikland. i miss that little mini comic. i wish he would bring that back.

Well if I'm doing my counting right and the comics ends with around 120 pages as I think was planned. It shouldn't be that many months left. So a book at the end of the year would be kinda nice. :tooth:

i swear, if the books were sold at hot topic, Sera would be a phenomenon, like she's supposed to be. I mean, sure she's got a following, but we're just a cult here. I have been trying to spread the word, but its met on deaf ears. I get the same BS every time, "oh, is that Johen? Never mind"

or my favorite, "that guy is ripping off Johen" WTF?

Its such a shame that Mr. A. isn't well known. Personally, i consider the first book to be one of the greatest graphic novels i have ever read. I loved the art, the humor, and most of all, the warm ending with V and Sera. The book had quite an impact on my life, actually.

I'm not sure Hot Topic even carries comic books, but when I was 15, they had JtHM, Serenity Rose and Lenore.

yea yea yea!
I can absolutely envision it now-
that yellow hair, with her forked tongue all long and spiraling!
that would look awesome with the others! :D
OH PLEEEEEEAAAAASE make one Mr. A!!

I really like the idea of a Kelton one too..
but I can see why Mr. A might not make one.
If he's going for that dramatic look and feel,
with the colors and contrast etc...
Kelton doesn't really have any color to work with...

hmmm....I kind of wish Sera had been making the heart-shaped-skull
out of ectoplasm, in her print....or wearing it, or something..
Since Vicious and Tess both have their little things that symbolize them..
(butterflies and scarred-heart for Vicious, holy water-gun and dead-betty for Tess)
The heart-shaped-skull is actually no where to be found on Sera's print..
except maybe on the little dolls of her...and they're pretty indistinguishable..
Although I guess the clock-tower and the goblin-doodle shoes can symbolize her...
guess I just really wanted to see her logo..

Also, I want the Sera shirt Kelton's wearing on page 81..
and it'd be neat if the little face at the bottom was her face, or some such :P

i lurve serenity's humbly and meek boots! squeee! ...but yeah, no heartshapedskull? there is one on the vicious print... a tattoo on a guy's hand... just odd not to be on sera's print.

there used to be more shirts n stuff on spreadshirt. my gal pal has a scar heart tanktop that is no longer offered here but is still shown in the advertisement. i think there used to be heartskull tank tops as well. snd ones that glowed in the dark! i think he ought to bring the scar heart tanks back if for no other reason than for people who want to cosplay as vicious ^.^

it also seems to me (and it has for some time now) that the merchandising aspect of sera could be SO MUCH MORE than it is. i mean, check this out:

http://devilspanties.keenspot.com/store.html

The Devil's Panties is an online strip run by one lady and self published and SHE has more stuff available than sera who went through Slave labor. i could really see sera with bumper stickers or magnets and cloison pins. at the very least, more of a variety in the t-shirt department. like you guys said before, a shirt with a CHARACTER on it would be TERRIFIC. i would totally buy ANYTHING that said something like "save humbly" on it with his cute little face!

and speaking of humbly, i wonder if mr a would consider adding some special bonus humbly strips to the back of the printed version of goodbye crestfallen? to give added incentive to spend monies on a dead tree version and all that....

I say, some things on that site was just plain stupid. Very attractive to consumer whores. :tooth:

I don't really get why people are so into mugs. You see them everywhere with cartoon characters and such. I mean why not a cool beer glass instead? The only mug that has appealed to me enough to buy is this:

best response to that: No, it's the guy who made Jhonen's stuff on Zim look GOOD.

Something perverse in me thinks a Grinding Organs poster could be a real hoot. Maybe even 'Hed. And a good Statikland one would be cooler than cool.

hmmmm.... wonder if it'd be helpful for us to post "roughed-out" t-shirt ideations & be our own "focus group" type thingy? like just some of our favorite frames, stuff like that....

y'know, i would be all over a shirt with a nice big troll on it too...... ;)

& though that "wraparound" type printing is kinda 'spensive, being covered in clinging goblins would be hilarious!
