That Russian animation reminds me of R. Crumb.

Here's are some films from Gobelins; I dream of someday doing a graduate program there.

saw this today and thought it was fantastic

a French 9 minute short about a man, gerald, who wakes up one day turned into a woman. there is no real dialogue, so don't worry about not understanding them. it's all done so well with faces and tone!

I would like to submit Chainsaw Maid for your viewing consideration. Its an (almost) 7 minute claymation film about a zombie attack, and the titular heroine/zombie adversary, a maid with a chainsaw.

For those of who who are unfamiliar with it I ought to point out that its rather graphic in its depiction of violent zombie activity. But its also a masterfully animated piece of work. I'm really rather fond of it.

allow me to re-present ZOMBIE ZOMBIE, a 6:26 min stop motion which uses GI Joes to create a fantastic homage to Jon carpenter's The Thing. i originally saw it when Mr A posted a link on his blog. this is in case anyone missed this greatness the first time!

i love the part when "he"'s sitting with his old girlfriend and she's talking about shoes, and purses, and make up and he's snickering and then it turns to tampons and he shuts right up :P

it had been a while since i looked up jim mathers of Ill Will Press, of Foamy the Squirrel fame. i was pleased to learn he had a new line of cartoons which feature a surly record store owner. i really liked this one. nice jab at the The Cure there....

omg that last video was scary-accurate

THAT is exactly why same-sex marriage should be allowed..
I think homosexual relationships are more loving than hetero ones, most of the time!

That video reminds me of almost every female in my family.

I do think one of the video comments pointed out something important, which is if it was a typical American relationship, where's the divorce?

Very funny vid though :D My girlfriend thought it was scary O_O Reminds me of those Tales of Mere Existence videos you linked before.

hehe. yea I can see the needing of divorce in there..
but, honestly, I know many more people who stay in relationships
even if they aren't happy for sheer convenience. :\

I also know SO MANY women who are just like that woman...
They'll get prego again and again b/c they LOVE being pregnant cause
of the attention etc..
but are constantly complaining about their current children.. :?

This is why you need to take a test before being recognized as a parent. Until you pass it, other people should be legally allowed to relocate children to other homes or adopt it.
