snemmy art-things

Just realized I hadn't started my own art thread.

Let's start off with a recent (beginning of January) piece.
(And to test out Dropbox.com)

This is a website mock-up image for the fictional university in the book I'm working on:

Made it up in a couple of nights after applying for Graphic Design position at the local university... which they have not contacted me back yet... -_-
My design stuff prior to this was at minimum 5 years old.

I'm finding those last two highly absorbent!

& of course anything Dali-related always grabs me.

william: Everyone loves those three. :)
They are my fave pieces from school and probably that I've ever done. They are also my best use of textured canvases to date. Squeek is now the owner, having acquired them in an art trade.

Alphatroll: I have a love/hate relationship with my printmaking pieces. I loved doing it, but the professor forced extra class time and work on me that whole semester while trying to change/steer me away from what I wanted. Squeek wants me to put them up on Etsy. I think she may hurt me if I don't. o.O;;

That triptych is magnificent. I love them sooooooo much. :D
My favorite is the colorful one. Those greens and blues <3
and all three of them go together SO well. I wasn't quite sure why you
stopped using this technique during our painting class, actually...
It worked so wonderfully for you and you seemed to enjoy it immensely.
I think you should do some more like those soon. :)

*edit: you can catch "random" flashes of these three on our wall in the >>RANDOM MOVIE<<
that I posted over in the "Show me your lives!!" thread.*

You shouldn't give up on your 3D skillz either...
With what I've come to learn about modeling, in the time that I've known you,
I know that using that few of polygons and them turning out looking that nice is a very good thing...
I can only imagine what you could do with more and better programs n all that.

You don't have to sell them, silly, I was just suggesting since you could use the monies.. ;P
I love the second print especially...it feels more personal, expressive, and meaningful..
What type of printmaking are those again? :o

Wow. Those 3D models are a lost art. Its a damn shame too. Grim Fandango was one of the last games to turn a primitive polygonal environment into a work of modern art. You really should think of looking more into that.
