Here I was thinking the reason be that animals are so tasty... wait, I'm supposed to be a vegetarian. :dizzy:

I am a vegetarian and I think many animals are tasty.

Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

Oh wait, this thread has a purpose doesn't it?

HRH Prince Uno The Fürst, Firstborn of Princess, Son of Squirrel, Master of Craft, known as 'Longshanks'

Image

Image

His fur is made of pure silver, in case you can't tell. He is a prince among cats in the same sense that Shadowfax is a prince among horses.

I have 2 1/2* other cats, but only one has been captured on photograph and the image file currently eludes me.

Here is my sister and brother-in-law's puppy, Pandora, at age 7; RIP last year.
(The older sister I mean, the one who's a photographer, thus the B&W shot.)

Image

Pando was about 3/4 wolf and 1/4 malamute, which is pretty much mostly wolf anyway. She always enjoyed her walks on the public beaches of San Luis Obispo, so many nice people to meet.

* The youngest of them is quite wild so I couldn't really claim her, but she's a close friend of the other two and spends a lot of time in our place.

My pal Chibi Wonton. The smartest cat I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

That's odd -- Wonton doesn't look like a dumpling. ;)

Granted. She doesn't look at all like the person I got her first name from either :p

New addition to the household:

Image

Li'l Teeny surprised us with a single kitten (I think she was a onesie too, tho I'm not sure since she was born feral). Picked out a nice cozy box in a back corner of the bathroom. He's only a few days old, & doesn't have a name yet; I'm sorta thinkin' maybe it should be ELDRITCH!-related.....

Judging by the 'package' he's definitely a boy, so 'Anya' won't really do.... & he doesn't quite strike me as an 'Owen' either; but maybe when his eyes open I'll be able to judge better :)

i swear, that cat of yours almost looks like it could (or wants to for that matter) take over the world. lovable imp by day, evil genius by night.

just be thankful that your cat doesn't go underneath the crawl space of your house and keep you up all night by constantly scratching at the ground conveniently below your bedroom. mine does that to me. well, he's not mine, but he'd might as well be considering that our neighbors never show him any love, but who can blame them? he's annoying as hell.
