waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!! T.T

Yes, I know people. This has been a big issue for you guys for years. For years you lived in that "other country that doesn't have spotify". BUt now it's time to rejoice as you soon are about to be cured.

Spotify is coming to da USA!

"What is spotify?" You might ignorantly ask me and I spit on your face while answearing: That I recommend reading this article about it:

http://gizmodo.com/5502815/why-its-wort ... -us-launch

Spotify streams music to your computer. And since it has a good deal with pretty much every major music-label-thingy you can probably find A LOT of the music you like there. And it's free to download and try out. The free version is limited and got commericals. And I used it a pretty long time cause it was a good way to find new music. And then when I got an new cell phone I got 6 months free spotify with it and thats when I started using it pretty much 24 hours every day. If you got the premium version of spotify you can use it on pretty on your iphone or other similar devices.

Now paying a monthly fee to play music may sound scary. Since you can download the music for free. But it works really smooth. Thanks to it I have barly used any space on my computer for music.

So I really recommend you guys to check it out, you will be able to brag to your lesser awesome friends in a year about it when it has become just as big as it is here. ;)

.... And then you can check out my playlist. :)

I use Grooveshark, you don't have to download it at all. And you can pay a small monthly fee to have it ad-free (although the ads are only on the side, and don't really bother you at all, no sounds) and have the app so you can bring it anywhere. It streams from your browser, and like Spotify, has nearly everything. You can even help grooveshark by uploading sounds that aren't there.

They have radio for genres, community stuffs, surveys to be able to get the premium stuffs for free (Not like facebook surveys as well, feedback ones). I just found grooveshark to be the best thing for music, although you can't take the songs, and store them on your hard drive, you can add them to your account. With that being said, you can have it open, have it on continuous repeat, so you don't have to keep coming back, like youtube.

I say give it a try as well, this is on the topic of music. So I thought promoting something that works great while I work is worth having here.

Oh yes, Grooveshark is actually a decent option. I probably would have used it more if I found it before spotify. One thing I liked about that one is that it has all the ads on the free version as banners and not as sound between the songs as spotifys free version does.

Still I must say that I prefer spotify. The bigger diffrance I feel is that Spotify is faster, and smoother. Yes Grooveshark is webb-based and therefor no need to download. But thats also it's downside, since it just works much slower and just can't offer some features. It's also worte mention that Grooveshark don't have copyright on everything there since it's the users that adds the songs there. Which can be problematic. While spotify is and gives part of their earnings to the music industry. So you support the artist you listen too aswell. (Although I heard that it's not much money they earn through spotify.) And another big diffrance is that Grooveshark doesn't work at the moment on my cell-phone unless I jailbreak it.

Nope, haven't tried it. I don't really know much about it. But it's mostly for promoting your own music right? It makes your music easier to share on large amount of webbsites and other social networks?

But don't really know much about it.

grumble.
i didn't have time for a very long while, and i kept putting it off because of that. i SHOULD have taken you up on the invite, slinky.
last month i FINALLY had some time to look into online music thingies thoroughly, and i was TOO LATE. in fall of 2011, Spotify made it MANDATORY for all new accounts to have a facebook. i do not have a facebook. i absolutely do not want a facebook, ever. so now i cannot have spotify.

i now have the grooveshark.

grumble.
i hate me.

Thats why you do a fake account so you can use spotify, silly! It's not like you need show id or your bank account.

That wont really happend if you never use your facebook account. Which isn't the idea, just create one with some silly name. But whatever. do as you wish mate. :)

Spam? Thats has never happend me at all. And "tracking cookie" I assume you mean facebook thing where they track your location every time you update your status. You have to agree with that before that happends.
